Full-time, Variable days and shifts. Wage Range: 23.90-min 29.87-mid 35.84-max Responsibilities: The Assistant Director of Nursing Services works under the direction of the Nursing Services Director. Provides leadership and/or clinical support for planning, organization, directing, evaluating, controlling, communicating and teaching of Resident Assistants to ensure optimum Resident care in the Wellness Department. Oversees nursing care and restorative services to Residents based on the comprehensive assessment, analysis, collaboration with integrated team members, and the plan of care for each Resident. Manages the medical records for residents including the electronic aspects of care delivery. Assists the Nursing Services Director in a wide variety of program areas including therapies, quality management, activities of daily living. Handles administrative responsibilities on the weekends and in the absence of the Nursing Services Director. . Qualifications: This position requires a bachelor degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. Graduation from an approved school of nursing may be substituted for the BSN. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Alaska is required. Basic cardiac life support certification required. Supervisory experience and leadership skills in a long-term care facility strongly preferred. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations strongly preferred. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
